Carlos Arturo Gavilanes, Jr., Esq.

A graduate from Barry University School of Law.  At Barry University, Attorney Gavilanes was the President of the Hispanic American Law Student Association for three years and helped organize community events which consisted of food, clothes and school supply drives to help those in need in our community.   Attorney Gavilanes was on the Barry Law Trial Team for two and half years and competed against other law schools litigating criminal and civil cases. Lastly, he was on the Immigration Clinic his last year of law school where he helped clients with asylum, removal stays and other immigration cases.  

Attorney Gavilanes was born and raised in New Jersey.  He is the son of a Dominican Mother and Ecuadorean Father.  At an early age, his mother taught him the importance of an education,  being compassionate with everyone that he encountered and always be the voice of the helpless.  His father taught him the importance of having a strong work ethic.  Attorney Gavilanes is the father of six children and a practicing Catholic.  Family and faith is of upmost importance.
